Kevin Zhang Li

Kevin Zhang Li, a Computer Science student at the National University of Singapore. His projects, experience and notes, as districts of a city you can fly through.

Projects

• ClipAsk: A small Windows app for asking ChatGPT about anything on your screen. You select part of the screen, and the answer pops up in a little window. It's free and open source.
• Historical Adventures: A history game for classrooms. A teacher uploads the historical sources they're teaching from, and it turns them into a small world students can play through: people to talk to, evidence to find and decisions to make.
• Prompt Later: A small Chrome extension that sends messages into your AI chats later, either once or on a schedule.
• Reddit ML: Can Reddit's stock discussions forecast returns? A research pipeline, from raw posts to a trained model, still being organised.
• This city: This website. It's a city I built from scratch, and each district is one section of my portfolio.
• UniPlans: A module planner for NUS students, which I built with my friend Yuchen. You tell it which modules you want to take, and it plans backwards from there, semester by semester, so the prerequisites line up.

Experience

• Tutor, CS2103T Software Engineering: Teaching CS2103T Software Engineering: running tutorials, and giving students feedback on design, code quality and testing.
• Software Engineering Intern: Rebuilt a volunteer management system end to end as a software engineering intern at CVWO, the summer after Year 1.

About

• What I care about: Outside of code: long rides, the markets and games.
• Where I'm heading: Next semester: exchange at UNC Chapel Hill (SEP). Open to what comes next, and looking for internships in 2027.
• Who I am: Born in Boston, grew up in Singapore, studying Computer Science at NUS.
